Duo Agion is a musical ensemble based in Berlin, formed by Agnieszka Skorupa and Semion Gurevich at the beginning of 2022.

The year 2023 is marked by their success at early music competitions: 1 prize at the Göttingen Händel Competition and 1 prize at the Biagio Marini Competition in Neuburg an der Donau (as Daimona Ensemble). Duo Agion are Neustart Kultur Deutschland and Paul-Hindemith-Society scholarships holders.

Their historically informed performances are characterised by sensitivity, spontaneity and fiery expressiveness. A willingness to experiment and openness to different genres and styles is combined with a curiosity about rarely performed pieces. During their performances they incorporate elements of improvisation and instrumental theatre, often feature their own arrangements and compositions.

They have been invited to perform at numerous prestigious early music events, including the Early Music Festival in Utrecht in 2023, International Handel Festival in Göttingen in 2024, Klosterfest in Michaelstein, Friedenauer Kammerkonzerte in Berlin, they also perform at Leopold Mozart’s House in Augsburg on an original Stein – fortepiano from 1785.

The Duo received artistic impulses from prominent musicians such as Avinoam Shalev, Irmgard Huntgeburth, Martyna Pastuszka, Vittorio Ghielmi.

As a participants of the Académie Gli Incogniti 2023 they received lessons with Amandine Beyer, Anna Fontana, and Olivier Fourés.
